Default George Homeh Funeral in Sydney

May he rest in peace...

Zowaa Funeral Mass was held on November 19, 2010 for our Nationalistic Artist George Homeh, who passed away on November 16, 2010 from a heart attack; at the Cathedral of Rabban Hormizd of the Assyrian Church of the East. Funeral Mass services by Archbishop Mar Mills Zaia: proxy for the Patriarch of the Assyrian Church of the East and bishop of the Dioceses of Australia, New Zealand and Lebanon; in addition to a number of priests and deacons. The passing away of our artist George Homeh is a great loss to the Assyrian Music since he was one of the strong pillars and his beautiful songs and especially the one he wrote for our homeland Bet-Nahrain, will remain in the memory of our people and will never be forgotten and will remind us all of beautiful memories.

A delegation from the Assyrian Democratic Movement including Mr. Emmanuel Sada: Branch Director, Mr. George Adam, and Sarkis Youkhana and a large number of cadres of the movement in Sydney attended the Mass in addition to representatives of our national, cultural and religious organization and a large crowd of our Chaldean Syriac Assyrian people in Sydney including our artists from around the world whom presented poems and speeches expressing their grief.
